How Safe At Home Works
Safe at Home makes home risk assessment easy and fast.
The only thing you must type is your ZIP code. Your address and notes are optional. All other questions are answered with mouse clicks.
You do not have to be a risk analyst to answer the questions. You simply answer easy questions about your family and your home. The software does the rest.

Results are easy to understand. Safe at Home calculates your relative risk of six consequences as a result of nine hazards. The consequences are death, injury, property and content loss, loss of use of the home, and delay of first responders. The hazards considered are accidents, fire, crime, hurricane, flood, tornado, earthquake, winter storm, and widespread loss of infrastructure.

The software analyzes your results and suggests ideas for your consideration.

Other Features
- A rollup of the relative risks in your home is provided.
- For some hazards, a map shows the frequency of occurrence across the United States.
