About Ducks in a Row, Inc.

Ducks in a Row, Inc., is a small, independent software development company focusing on user-friendly applications for niche markets.  We specialize in software for risk analysis and home management, although we welcome inquiries about custom software development that meets your particular requirements.  Our products combine ease of use with expert algorithms and comprehensive databases. 

Our staff has received major national awards and has published and consulted extensively in risk assessment.  In addition, our staff has provided consulting in risk assessment and software development to a major Department of Energy national laboratory as well as private companies.

Our Name

We are often asked how we came up with the name "Ducks in a Row, Inc."  We chose it to describe who we are and what we do.  As you see from the short bios below, all three of the corporate officers have degrees from the University of Oregon, the Fighting Ducks.  Our work in technical consulting, family history, and software development for niche markets helps our customers to get their ducks lined up. 

Regina L. Hunter

Regina Hunter Regina L. Hunter, President, received a Bachelor of Arts (Honors College) in geology from the University of Oregon in 1970 and a doctorate from the University of Illinois in 1975.  She retired after 24 years at Sandia National Laboratories, where she was a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff.   She has published more than 40 technical reports and papers, one book, and several videos.  Dr. Hunter has worked as a risk analyst on projects funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Environmental Protection Agency, General Services Administration, Food and Drug Administration, and Department of Agriculture.  She supports projects in software development and risk analysis for external customers.

Madison D. Link

Madison Link Madison D. Link, Vice President for Development, received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Mexico in 1999, with majors in mathematics and creative writing.  He received a Master of Science degree in mathematics from the University of Oregon in 2001.  Mr. Link has worked on projects for the U.S. General Services Administration, the Food and Drug Administration, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, specializing in algorithm development for risk-related software.  He supports projects in software development and risk analysis for external customers.


Teresa L. Link

Terri Link Teresa L. Link, Vice President for Research, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Oregon in 1994.  Ms. Link specializes in genealogical research and the preparation of family histories.  She is the world's foremost expert on the family of George Anson and Margaret Dinning Anson, of Wolverhampton, England, and Buchanan County, Iowa, and ultimately plans to publish a complete history of the family in England and America.  She also does genealogical research and tests software, with an emphasis on 508 compliance testing, for external customers.
